Aye, twas I that scouted the path ahead and sent riders back to General Breuer of the taint of Chaos in these lands. General Breuer hadn’t received my message when you left him? Shallya have mercy… We need reinforcements to purge Gotland, and if you’re all the reinforcements we’re to get then perhaps it’s Morr we should be asking for mercy. Gotland succumbed to Chaos, in perhaps more ways than you think. It was the last bastion of civilization before the wilds north of the River Groene, and now it is the first stepping stone south for the agents of Chaos. We must cleanse it and try to refortify the frontier on the Groene! Perhaps then the Norse dwarfs will come to our aid as they did over two hundred and fifty years ago, but we must keep the Groene open!

Enter the Pit of the Forsaken within the town of Gotland and purge it of its foul corruption. Return to Captain Kleinke in the Gotlan Advance if you survive.
