Death Poem of Yviras
Finally. A messenger. Know that I have lived my life by the blade. Some would say that such a life is wasted. It is the warrior who guards the poet with sword and shield, ensuring that his prose will be heard anon. The coming days may see the end of my life. I have fought and bled for Ulthuan, and I expect no thanks for my sacrifice. I ask only that you pass on what I have learned of the blade to those that will come after my demise. My Death Poem is that which I have lived by: my Sword. I buried it deep in the rocky loam of Caledor, not far from here. Take it and bear it back to Ulthuan so that my people can see that life's beauty requires an able defense.
