The individual who killed Gunther must have made off with Hagan's Belongings, but the only marks on the ground are of a body being dragged... perhaps the giant spiders caught the combatants in their struggle and made off with the thief, wrapping him up for dinner at a later time.
Search among the Writing Victims near the Orrgierr giant spiders for Hagan's Belongings. Return to Hagan at Sorcerer's Axiom once you have found his belongings.
