Stemming the Tide

You have come… but why? You cling to life still… there is still hope, still time. I can weave a spell around you… to preserve you from the Vortex, but haste is of the essence. Kill the heir of Dreadaxe and safeguard the Vortex during Twilight’s Tide. Take this empowered crystal and use it on an ancient mage’s staff near the center of the Vortex. Doing so will draw the daemon from its hiding. My spell will buy you time, and you can return to the mortal realm, but I must sacrifice myself to stabilize the Vortex, like Caledor Dragontamer did millennia ago. Go and may the Winds of Magic blow in your favor.

Make your way to the center of the Vortex and use the Fallen Archmage's Staff to summon the heir of Hargrim Dreadaxe, the Bloodthirster who Aenarion banished during the Battle of the Isle of the Dead. Kill him and return to Thealyn of Mistglade in your capital for your reward.
