The Sun and the Forest of Shadows

The soldiers of Averland answered the call and marched to Ostland from the west. Woe unto us if this destruction should reach our province. My company was the vanguard, more reinforcements are being led by Captain Nurenmir, they have yet to arrive. I am sure he will arrive shortly. That matters not at this moment, for we have received dark reports of a Chaos infestation far in the south of Ostland. With all eyes turned to the north, no one is taking care of the threats that emerge from within the Forest of Shadows. If that infestation is allowed to fester, I fear it will quickly spread south into the Empire and affect my family. The Hochlanders will run and hide in the trees like they always do, and it will fall upon others to stop whatever threat was allowed to grow unchecked in Ostland.

Travel south through the Forest of Shadows to the border of Ostland. Find and enter the Lair of the Defiler. Defeat Feculesh the Defiler before it is allowed to grow in corrpulent corruption. Return to Kasper Soddenberg at Bohsenfels in Ostland when done.
