Salvaging is a Gathering Skill that breaks down green rarity gear or higher into ingredients for Talismans. It’s best paired with the Talisman Making Skill. Speak to Letealian Wingblade and select “Learn Trade Skills” if you want to learn the Salvaging skill. Speak to him again to take a free sample of some items that you can salvage to begin leveling and gaining ingredients. After level 25, you’ll need to use Green Rarity gear or higher that you find or buy in the world.
