A short, bloodstained trail leads away to the north. Furgil must have made it some distance from the battle before succumbing to his wounds. Furgil's body holds the clue to tracking down the beast. Backtracking along the trail of blood should reveal the monsters lair.
Check the caves in Bloodspike Mesa, northeast of Spitbore, that might be home to the beast that killed Furgil. Track down and slay the Bloodspike Shadow. Take its head back Mugni Gjornsson at Copperstone's River Crossing.
