He even hints at the location of the lost mine, even goes as far as leaving clues behind for any dwarf that comes after him. What do you take me for? The clues are gone or I wouldn't be prattlin' on with you, I'd be diggin' me up a huge lump of brightstone! This is only half his journal. Now, I know what you're thinkin'. Maybe Thagor here will divulge where he laid his hands on his half of the journal. Could be that the other half is still there hidden in some lonely place waitin' on someone to go and rescue it. If you bring me back that half we can put our heads together and figure out what secrets are within these pages.

Go to Bloodspike Mesa in northeastern Spitbore. Find and dispose of the Black Orc named Grimcut, and recover the other half of the journal. Use the incomplete journal in your inventory to examine it.
