What news from the north? Do you know what is happening in Volgenshore? You came from there, you must know something! There are rumors going around, rumors that we're surrounded. We've been ordered to keep the bridge open as long as possible, but once the threat becomes to dire, we're to blow it up. But how are we to know when 'too dire' is? I sent a scout out to check the situation in the surrounding countryside, but I've not heard from him yet. What of the road south to Reikland, or Bitterschaum Swamp, or Witchfire Wood, or Hergig in Blackshore? So many unanswered questions.

Search for Von Heynau's Scout, who was last seen heading down the road south to Reikland. He was to camp at the windmill before continuing southward to check which roads were open.
