Moisture is what gifts life, but in this case it will feed the small plants of decay. Decay is but another course of life, for without decay the forest floor would not blossom into new life. You will need some suntouched lichen to rub into the inside of the bark, this will help absorb any remaining moisture. I have some I can sell you.

Buy some Suntouched Lichen from the Avelornian Treesinger and use it on your Ragewood Treekin Bark. Speak with the Avelornian Treesinger when the bark is dried.
