Just as well, you might extract revenge upon the green beasts in the names of my fellow scouts.

Find the barge landings to the north of the Well of Sar-Saroth. Defeat the search party's attackers, and recover Vaersan's Log from their Overseer. Read Vaersan's Log to determine the next course of action after you have defeated all enemies.
