My messenger will deliver our request to meet with Derian. His response is usually swift, so I expect you will know of his plans as soon as you arrive. I have made mention of our concerns that so many are lost as a result of the raids that Derian has orchestrated. Though I am displeased with Derian, please treat him gently. He is making foolish mistakes, and though his lack of competence may be responsible for many deaths, he does not intend the harm he is causing.

Search the lands north of Cinderblade for a white stone in the middle of a clearing. This stone is one of the drop locations for information from Derian Stormspear. There should be a response to Arathen's request waiting within the stone by the time you arrive.
