Scavenging is a Gathering skill that you can use on dead human-like enemies to gather valuable ingredients for Talismans. Scavenging is best paired with the Talisman Making Crafting skill. Speak to Hredric Taintblade and select “Learn Trade Skills” to learn the Scavenging skill. Once learned, go kill 5 Ghouls, and right click their corpses to level your Scavenging skill.
