Our kin have had no success fighting the rootrot for all these centuries and though it pains me to say it, perhaps our only hope lay with the elgi. If one their loremasters was here then there’d be no problem, but Ulthuan is leagues away and time is against us. There is a location known to me and other rangers who have crossed the dangerous peaks of the Spine of the World, somewhere where the powers of the elgi give life where no life should be given. Magic is a curse, but if the elgi can bring life to Thunder Mountain, then perhaps this sapling will have a chance. Take the sapling and I’ll mark the location on your map. Go with haste. With the sapling in your bag, head to the Molten Tarn in Thunder Mountain and plant the sapling in the soil by an elven waystone. When done report to Hargan Hammerstriker in the Greymere Point warcamp.
