Nubungki
My mother left when Harwin and Guntrek found us. She told them to keep an eye on me seein’ as they were set on followin’ us. They were none too keen, seein’ my condition, but nonetheless they waited with me in the spot she left us thinkin’ she’d return soon. Guntrek wanted to leave me, but Harwin insisted. Soon after they lost contact with their ranger captain, and when Guntrek went to check their outpost in the Dragonback Mountains he only found the corpses of his friends massacred by orcs from the west. That soured his mood greatly. He returned to Harwin seein’ as he was the last friend he had left, but he wanted to return to the World’s Edge Mountains to rejoin other rangers. They couldn’t take me with them, not as I am. But their honor wouldn’t let them leave me. I was just an inconvenient burden. A crippled child alone in a swamp. I was supposed to have died a babe, I was supposed to be forgotten...
Ulrek abruptly ends his storytelling and asks you to venture further into the Marshes of Madness. He said there is a cave north of his camp infested with spiders. He claims that within this cave there is a dark sorcerer and twisted manlings whom he asked you to kill. Only then will he divulge more.
